We specialize in natural stone — primarily travertine pavers, which we carry in over 12 colors including Ivory, Noce, Walnut, Scabos, Silver, and Keykostone. Beyond pavers, we stock matching bullnose and straight-edge pool coping in 3cm and 5cm, splitface ledger stone (1x2, 2x4, 6x24), half-inch travertine tile for indoor use, marble pavers (Bluestone and sandblasted grey), and decorative pebbles. Everything you need for pools, patios, driveways, accent walls, and interior floors — all from one Houston supplier.
Travertine is a naturally formed in mineral hot springs, prized for its extreme durability and unique surface variation. It has been used as a building material for thousands of years — the Romans built the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain with it. Today, travertine pavers are one of the most popular choices for pool decks, patios, and driveways in Houston because they stay cool in the Texas heat, resist slipping when wet, and are three times stronger than concrete. Each piece has natural character that gives your outdoor space an elegant, one-of-a-kind look.
No — that is one of the biggest advantages of travertine over concrete, brick, or porcelain. Travertine naturally reflects heat and stays cool to the touch, even when surface temperatures exceed 100°F. We tested this at our Houston yard on a 100-degree day and filmed the results on our YouTube channel. This heat-reflective property makes travertine the ideal choice for pool decks and barefoot areas in the Texas climate.
Travertine pavers are actually less slippery than most alternatives when wet. The natural porosity of the stone absorbs water rather than letting it pool on the surface, which creates a natural grip. The more texture and holes the material has, the more traction it provides. This makes tumbled travertine pavers one of the safest choices for pool decks, patios, and any area that gets wet — especially important for families with children.
Houston homeowners choose travertine pool deck pavers for three key reasons: they stay cool in the Texas sun (unlike concrete which can burn bare feet), they become less slippery when wet (the porous surface absorbs water instead of pooling it), and they are extremely durable — three times stronger than concrete and resistant to cracking. Travertine also adds significant value to your home. We carry matching pool coping, splitface for raised walls, and indoor tile so your entire project has a consistent look from one source.
Yes! We carry half-inch travertine tile specifically for indoor use — it is thinner and lighter than our outdoor pavers (which come in 3cm and 5cm). Indoor tile is available in all the same colors as our paver line, so you can match your interior floors to your outdoor pool deck or patio for a seamless design throughout your home.
Travertine is very low maintenance. Regular cleaning with water and a mild cleaner is all that is needed for most applications. Sealing is completely optional — it can enhance the color and provide extra stain protection, but it is not required. If you choose to seal, we recommend having it done by a professional. Avoid harsh chemicals like bleach, as travertine is a porous natural stone that can be affected by acidic cleaners over time.
Our most popular sizes are 12x24, 16x24, and Versailles (French) Pattern. Select colors also come in 12x12. We carry Roman Pattern as well. Versailles Pattern is the most popular for pool decks and patios — it creates a classic, timeless layout that has been used in European architecture for centuries. Both Versailles and Roman patterns must be purchased in complete bundles.
Versailles Pattern — also called French Pattern — is an 8 square foot set containing four different paver sizes: 2 pieces of 8x8, 2 pieces of 16x16, 1 piece of 8x16, and 1 piece of 16x24. This combination creates a repeating layout with a classic, old-world look that is the most popular pattern for travertine pool decks and patios in Houston. Versailles pattern must be purchased in complete bundles to maintain the correct piece ratio.
Roman Pattern is also an 8 square foot set, consisting of 6 pieces of 6x12, 4 pieces of 6x6, and 4 pieces of 12x12. It creates a slightly different repeating layout than Versailles and works well for walkways, smaller patios, and areas where a different visual rhythm is desired. Like Versailles, Roman Pattern must be purchased in complete bundles.
At our Houston location, we carry Ivory, Silver, Noce, Walnut, Light Walnut, Dark Walnut, Color Mix (Country Classic), Scabos, and Keykostone in travertine. We also stock Shellstone limestone, Bluestone marble, White & Grey Sandblasted marble pavers. Each product has a unique number code (like 1000 Ivory or 2001 Walnut) to ensure batch matching — so if you need to extend your project or repair a section in the future, we can get you the closest possible color match.
All three are natural stone, but they have different properties. Travertine is the least slippery of the three and stays coolest in the sun — making it the most popular choice for Houston pool decks. Bluestone marble is more slick and tends to get hotter, though sandblasted marble has more texture for better grip. Shellstone limestone has natural shell fossils and stays cool, but is not as hard as travertine or marble. We carry all three at our Houston showroom so you can compare them side by side.
